The primary purpose of the Licenses Practical Nurse is it to utilize the nursing process in organizing and providing direct care to residents as assigned. The nurse will organize, facilitate, and carry out shift routines in assigned nursing unit.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Effective communicator with staff, families and outside agencies.
Ability to prioritize duties.
Customer service oriented with knowledge of successful customer service techniques.
Ability to understand residents' charts, doctor's orders, residents' plan of care, medication orders.
Must posses the ability to effectively gather clinical data in regards to resident status and condition.
Possesses adequate strength, endurance and coordination to meet the physical demands of such resident care responsibilities as administering medications and performing treatments.
Able to meet the requirements identified on the Assessment of Job Requirements.
