General Summary:
The HR Generalist implements and administers PolyOne's human resources services, policies, and programs. This position assists in decision making processes and positively impacts the results of the organization by recruiting, retaining, rewarding, and developing the industry's best talent in a manner that is cost-efficient and compliant.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Administers company's HR policies, program, and procedures for the employees. This includes salary and wage administration, company benefits inquiries, distributing benefits information and employee communications and updates, retirement plan inquiries, recruitment, HR information systems, payroll, time and attendance recording, organizational development, and training plans.
Assists with implementing plant-wide wellness programs and employee activities.
Works with managers and supervisors to ensure timely creation and distribution of biannual performance reviews.
Conducts monthly, or as appropriate, audits of HRIS and make corrections as needed.
Partners with the recruiting team and the business unit to staff and hire hourly, non-exempt or lower level exempt business unit positions. Creates requisitions in recruiting software.
Ensures that PolyOne reward and recognition programs are utilized.
Coordinates onboarding activities for business unit hires.
Develops requisitions for business units.
Assists as needed with employee counseling, conflict resolution issues and individual performance improvement programs. This can include working directly with employees and/or managers and supervisors.
Develops fundamental knowledge of business units, including customers, competitors, products, markets, and key business.
Gains exposure to manufacturing environments through regular visits to business unit plants.
Maintain HR files and protect the security of all employee PHI.
Handles special projects as requested. #LI-KD1
Required Experience and Education:
Bachelor's Degree in human resources related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least one year of experience in human resources, recruiting and staffing, performance management, health and welfare programs, and human resources systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have the ability to multitask with strong time/priority management skills
Strong organizational and facilitation skills
High attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite
Scope:
This position scope is specific to the PolyOne Advanced Composites ? Gordon Composites group.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
